Gracanica “Civic Energy Center-CEC” proposed intervention for 2021 will promote further civic initiative and engagement, further community involvement and social cohesion, representatives including raising awareness about dialog process, and will serve as every day as service center where all citizens will have right to use it for different planned activities and further contribute for more open civil society initiatives and change within Central Kosovo.
Gracanica “Civic Energy Center-CEC” will support open debate and will have an important role as catalyst for the community’s interaction while building further capacities of the society in many ways.
Due to the Corona-19 virus pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the Civic Energy Center in Gracanica operates in limited capacity in line with the Kosovo government measures, but it is still a place where citizens can continue to communicate, exchange opinions and views on socio-political situation in Kosovo through combined events and the use of the ZooM platform.
The “Civic Energy Center-CEC” has been established on 15th of May 2019. Up to date CEC proved to be multiethnic center for all community’s exchange and further building relation based on mutual respect of the open society principles. “Civic Energy Center-CEC” has provided space for open debate on the currently important topics for minority communities such as Prishtina-Belgrade and community dialog process. Project is funded by Kosovo Foundation for Open Society /KFOS.
