FDMC obeležio Svetski dan izbeglica – FDMC marked World Refugee Day

Svetski dan izbeglica je dan koji nas podseća na ljude koji su ostali bez doma, posla i imovine, koji su prisiljeni da traže siguran, novi dom negde daleko od svog mesta gde su živeli.

Povodom obeležavanja Svetskog Dana Izbeglica, Forum za razvoj i multietničku saradnju, partnerska organizacija UNHCR-a, organizovala je Razmenu iskustava sa interno raseljenim licima iz privatnog smeštaja u Opštini Gračanica i korisnicima kolektivnih centara iz Opština Leposavić i Zvečan.

 Tokom ove posete Opštini Gračanica, Turistička Organizacija Gračanice / TOG omogućila je korisnicima Kolektivnih Centara (interno raseljena lica i izbeglice) da se upoznaju sa kulturno-istorijskim spomenicima ove opštine. Tom prilikom, korisnici su posetili Manastir Gračanicu, kao i Manastir Sv. Dimitrija u Sušici.

Trinaest korisnika Kolektivnih Smeštaja iz opština Zvečan i Leposavić, imalo je priliku da podeli svoja iskustva sa Gordanom Đorić, osnivačem Udruženja žena Avenija, i Gordanom Toskić, osnivačem keteringa „Na kašiku“. Osnaženi životnim pričama ovih uspešnih dama, korisnici su shvatili da nisu zaboravljeni, da treba da se bore i ostvaruju svoja prava, kao i da smo svi tu njima na usluzi u cilju pronalaženja trajnog rešenja.

Ova aktivnost implementirana je u saradnji sa Turističkom Organizacijom Gračanice / TOG, Opštinom Gračanica i NVO Avenija, podržana od strane UNHCR.

World Refugee Day is a day that reminds us of people who have lost their homes, jobs and property, who are forced to look for a safe, new home somewhere far away from where they lived.

On the occasion of the World Refugee Day, Forum for Development and Multiethnic Collaboration / FDMC, UNHCR partner organization, organized several events of exchange of experiences with Internally Displaced Persons from private accommodation in the Municipality of Gračanica/Graçanicë and beneficiaries of the Collective Shelters from Leposavić/Leposaviq and Zvečan/Zveçan Municipalities.

During this visit to the Municipality of Gračanica/Graçanicë, the Tourist Organization of Gracanica / TOG enabled the beneficiaries of the Collective Shelters (internally displaced persons and refugees) to get acquainted with the cultural and historical monuments of this municipality. On that occasion, the beneficiaries visited the Gracanica Monastery, as well as the Monastery of St. Dimitrije in Susica.

Thirteen beneficiaries of the Collective Shelters from the municipalities of Leposavić/Leposaviq and Zvečan/Zveçan had the opportunity to share their experiences with Gordana Đorić, the founder of the Women’s Association „Avenija“, and Gordana Toskić, the founder of the catering “Na kašiku”.

Empowered by the life stories of these successful ladies, the beneficiaries realized that they are not forgotten, that they need to fight and exercise their rights, and that FDMC, as UNHCR partner is here in order to support them in finding a durable solution.

This activity was implemented in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of Gracanica / TOG, the Municipality of Gracanica and the NGO Avenija, supported by UNHCR.
