Marking the campaign “16 days of activism against gender-based violence”

The Global 16 Days Campaign is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day.

Forum for Development and Multiethnic Collaboration / FDMC, UNHCR partner organization, has organized discussion on the topic “Violence against women and gender-based violence, defense mechanisms” with the beneficiaries of the Collective Shelters in Leposavic/q Municipality.

The aim of the discussion was to present to the displaced persons accommodated in the Collective Shelters the working mechanisms against gender-based violence, as well as to inform about the processes, how and who they can approach in case of this type of act.
